These arts are essential to 1 out of every 10 students at my school. Band is the true leader of spirit, playing the fight song at games and providing the background music to the drill team. All four performing arts gives people places to hone their skills in music, giving us a love for an activity that can last our entire lives. It can bring families together, giving grandparents and grandchildren, parents and children, something to do together. There is also the deep love that develops for the music, which lasts entire lives. It also gives students a place where a place where they can enjoy themselves while earning credit, which is very useful in some cases when the rest of a student's life is bad.
